Alleged Racial Slur opens door to bashing Tea Party Movement

First, was there one individual or did the Tea Party movement in unison shout out the N-word several times, shouting it so loudly it was undetectable to the human ear of most or even all the microphones.

Democrats and main stream media – fanned the fire of racism, many eagerly jumped into the fray without exploring the facts, or the lack thereof.  Those pesky facts tend to get in the way of what could be a really big story, they could hinder the feeding frenzy of bashing those awful hate mongering racist conservatives.  Journalists assisted in this fiasco, it was like throwing gasoline onto a lighted match, igniting a full blown out-of-control bonfire, it makes for a better story.  Main stream media has sank to a new low, even for them.  Not satisfied with ignoring news stories, or making them up when it fits their agenda, now they have jumped on the bandwagon of labeling just about all conservatives as racists.

It was reported a demonstrator or demonstrators outside the U.S. Capitol, and who were angry over the health care bill, ‘allegedly’ shouted “nigger” Saturday at U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia congressman and civil rights icon who was nearly beaten to death during an Alabama march in the 1960s.  “They were shouting, sort of harassing,” Lewis said. “But, it’s okay, I’ve faced this before. It reminded me of the 60s. It was a lot of downright hate and anger and people being downright mean.”

Strange with all the news hounds, cameras, microphones and cell phones, it appears no one actually captured this person or ‘movement’ shouting out the N-word several times, very strange in deed.

I do not disparage what Rep. Lewis said occurred, I will afford him the benefit of the doubt until I hear evidence refuting his claim.  If the incident occurred it is indefensible, racist and should be denounced by all.  However, on the other hand, if it is untrue, then who is the real racist, the falsely accused or the one fanning the racial flames for political purposes?

Did you Rep. Lewis personally hear these racial slurs or was it an aid who overheard the shouted remarks?  The individual who shouted the disgusting remarks is despicable and the key word here is ‘individual’.  Unless everyone in the crowd went into a chant shouting out the N-word then why was everyone labeled racist?  Rep. Lewis, as an honorable man I find it difficult to believe you did not offer to refute the false accusations being reported,  associating the whole Tea Party movement as racists instead of the individual who allegedly shouted them out, that seems awfully unfair.

I expect no less from main stream media, an opportunity presented itself to them, they smelled possible blood in the water, starting a feeding frenzy and the story took on a life of its own.  When less than ethical reporting is the rule, such an accusation, true or untrue is all that is required for it to blossom into a fact-less account of what may have happened.  It’s like chumming racial waters in hopes of landing a trophy Great White Tea Party member.  Main stream media seized on the opportunity to label the whole Tea Party movement as being just a bunch of racists based on an alleged outburst of one individual allegedly yelling the N-word several times in a crowd full of reporters with microphones that apparently were not working at the time.  Who is the real racist if this is untrue?

The unbiased, fair-minded journalists who ran with this story  were merely doing their job right, they were presented with a second hand statement of an alleged incident that apparently can not be verified but again we can not let facts get in the way of such a great story.  The allegation was more than enough facts to warrant the labeling of the whole Tea Party Movement as racists.   Saul Alinsky somehow comes to mind, the ends justify the means.
