The Face of Arrogance

The most tragic circumstances involved in the gulf oil spill are what President Obama didn’t do. Obama being the president should first and foremost, protect this country and its citizens from danger be it from foreign countries or in this case, an environmental disaster. I will try my best to refrain from using the term President Obama since the man does not deserve that title.

Obama failed to waive the Jones Act and this was purely a political decision which directly prevented a quick response for an attempt to contain and siphon oil from the spill immediately after the Deepwater Horizon well exploded.

Thirteen countries including the Dutch, Russia and the UAE offered their help only to be turned down by Obama purely on political grounds ignoring the consequences of the disastrous results which we are seeing daily now. His arrogance was further displayed by his not waiving the Jones Act and on day 67 of the spill, he still will not waive the act. So to call this hack our president is something I just can not do, first a president must assume the duties and responsibilities associated with that job, Obama due to his political agenda and upbringing is incapable of the task.

Obama’s lack of leadership is not only un-presidential, it is un-American and in my book, borders on criminal neglect. He obviously never took into consideration the best interest of the people along the gulf nor the enormous environmental damages his inactions would result in. We the People deserve a president, not a posturing politician who looks out for his own interests over that of the nation and its people.

Right after the Deepwater Horizon exploded, the Dutch offered to send skimmers to the area, their offer was rejected. Obama stood by his far-left environmental nut-jobs who are really to blame for this. It is because of these far-left kooks that we have to drill in the murky depths of the ocean instead of in shallow water or even dry land where a disaster like Deepwater Horizon could be addressed quickly and thus minimize the hazards. It is the far-left nut-jobs who have prevented the US from having the equipment needed for a response like Deepwater Horizon.

Dutch government officials in the Netherlands first offered to deliver their skimmer arm systems to the spill site just three days after the oil spill began however U.S. officials rejected the offer because EPA regulations prohibit the discharge of water that contains oil into the ocean.

Skimmers skim oil along with sea water into tankers and the sea water is then pumped back out into the ocean to make room for more oil. However you can not eliminate small amounts of oil from going back into the ocean so the nut-jobs at EPA say you can not use skimmers that could remove 146,000 barrels of oil a day because in doing so you may have to put a few hundred barrels of oil back into the ocean.

I’m sure that makes perfect sense to the far-left and the morons at the EPA so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by the way these idiots conduct business. This illusion of a president we currently have is nothing but a nightmare and the country has no hope of a reprieve until the moron is evicted from 1600 Penn. Ave.
