It is well past the time all those career politicians who now and in the past have felt that way to retire or be forcibly removed through elections. If those we have elected lack the intestinal fortitude to do what is right without fear of offending a segment of the population, they are worthless as representatives and need to be replaced.
Immigration has gone the way of everything the federal government gets involved with, or tries to manage. First it was Social Security, it would still be solvent if the greedy politicians though the years had kept their hands out of its funds instead of just looking at SS as just another source for quick cash. However diverting funds from social security to other pet projects have resulted in worthless IOUs and almost bankrupt and what do they suggest as a way to fix it? Try taxes, politicians have been allowed by the people to operate with impunity and overspend without many complaints until now. If it requires us to dump every politician who has served more than one term so be it, we need new blood in D.C. (and the White House) who know how to operate on a budget and who have the desire to shrink the federal government instead of allowing it to grow unabated into the blood sucking enormity it now is.
It is comical the way the liberals portray themselves as being on some moral high ground concerning amnesty and speak of the plight of the poor illegal immigrant, hogwash! All they are concerned with are votes and since around 9 out of 10 illegal immigrants are viewed as potential future Democrats, votes are their true motive for wanting amnesty.
Both the Bush and Obama administrations support non-enforcement orders on deportation.
Both Republicans and Democrats have sponsored “special relief” bills to grant amnesty to illegal alien criminals. [source: Michelle Malkin]
We do not need to overhaul or revamp our immigration policy or laws – we just need someone in the White House and members of congress who have the desire and guts to simply enforce our existing laws and policy.
